We have moved!!!

After flooding the house in Frazier Park, we decided to check out a job offer up north in a small ranching town called Etna, near Yreka. We decided that it was a good fit for us due to the fact that Etna is beautiful. That's not the only reason. So we packed up a Uhaul, said good bye to Frazier Park and spent $1,000 dollars in gas moving 9 hours north. Morgan is already on the local swim team, and has made friends with the neighborhood boys. Marron has made a friend down the road who is the same age as her but 3x the size. Although that is not hard to imagine if you have seen Marron lately. Grant wants to get some animals, Brett had the training wheels taken off his bike, Dylan has climbed every tree on the lot, and Paige has ran into every tree. Amy worked hard during the move and is feeling good, and now is 6 months pregnant. She did refuse to do any heavy lifting during the move.
I do have to say that I have never felt so out of place in my life than when we went to the local Jr. Rodeo here in Etna. I showed up wearing nike shoes that I stole from the Basketball team at the Youth facility I worked at years ago, Polo jeans bought on clearance, and the El Panchos es bueno T-shirt with a skull wearing a sombrero on the back from Pismo beach, a gift from Mike. The people in this town are real ranchers and were dressed accordingly. But the town has been very welcoming, and everybody already knows who we are. Everywhere we go people say, "Oh you must be the new Spanish teacher." It reminds me of the movie Doc Hollywood.
