Funny Story

No baby yet. But I wanted to share a funny story. This happened a few weeks ago. Morgan is learning to play the saxophone, and he was practicing in the back yard. You can imagine the sounds that a ten-year-old makes while practicing the saxophone. Well, a few minutes after he began to practice our neighbor down the street shows up on our doorstep, she is dressed in an African style head scarf, big carved wooden earrings, no shoes and a tube top. By the way our neighbor is white. She is armed with a paintball gun. She says that she was prowling the woods behind our house looking for the rooster they were going to eat for dinner. The rooster had pecked through the string that they had bound it to a cinder block with. She asked if she could look in our backyard for the rooster. So, I opened the fence and accompanied her into our backyard. I asked why she brought the paintball gun. She said that the rooster is very fast and that she was going to stun him with paintballs to recapture him. Then I asked her why she thought that it might be in our yard, and she says, "I thought that I heard sounds of a trapped animal in you yard, unless somebody has some kind of horn or something." Then I explained that Morgan is learning the saxophone. She was then satisfied that we weren't hiding her rooster. She asked me that if I see the rooster I should kill it and leave it on their doorstep.

Not one part of this story is made up or exaggerated. Honest.

We call this Cookie Monster!
Acting silly after school

Like my new glasses?

BRETT IS 7!!! Happy Birtthday Buddy!!

He loved his Ben 1o Shirt!!

The party was at the park and boy was it windy. It was also back to school night,
so we whipped right through it.It was still lots of fun, he is a pretty easy kid to please! The kids have settled into a good routine. I am getting closer to 37 weeks prego. I wish i felt worse, because that would probably mean labor was closer. Soccer has begun and we only have 5 playing this year! It is a pretty laid back league and only lasts 8 weeks, however it happens to be during my last few weeks of pregnancy, so hopefully we can get the kids to most of the games!!

First Day of School

So the days of summer are gone. September is but a few days off. Josh has adjusted well to his new job. At the assembly today he got the most cheers of the new teachers. I love when his ego is stroked at school, it's less work for me at home. Morgan's teacher is a naturalist, and he loves the science lab that is full of birds fish and turtles. Marron's teacher is easy going. Brett got a male teacher!! So far so good. Dylan is in the straight K class and has tested everyday, however his teacher doesn't seem to be taking any of it. Besides that she has bigger fish to fry. I was crossing the rode when "Vincient" booked it across and kept going. I started the chase, but shortly realized at 32 weeks prego I was useless, but the teacher caught him before he left the parking lot. Grant is in the K-1 split class. By day two the kid who screamed everytime he crossed the street, was telling me he did'nt need to hold my hand. One day 3 on his first bus ride he declared "That wasn't even scary." Paige goes to pre-school Tues. & Thurs. Talk about quiet, when for 3 years I have had 3 or 4 home all of the time. I am sure I'll adjust for 2 months.... then Bridger will arrive. I am used to manic, it's what I do best. I love reading everyone's blog's it has helped to be connected since we moved so far from everyone. We Love you all!!

Marron's Baptism and Dad's Birthday!!!!

Marron wore the same outfit that her Mom wore when she was baptized.

The outfit was taken out to fit Amy's sisters, and it fit Marron.

We baptized Marron on my birthday.

We were tempted here to push them all in.

This is what the kids found for my birthday present.
